
Dr. Powell-Brawner is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, practicing comprehensive ophthalmology as well as the sub-specialty of Neuro-Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She obtained her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in 2019. Following her graduation, she completed her internship and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. To further advance her expertise, Dr. Powell-Brawner pursued a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the University of Minnesota. She is an active member of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS).
In her practice, Dr. Powell-Brawner is dedicated to providing comprehensive ophthalmic care and has a particular interest in conditions such as glaucoma, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuritis, blepharospasms and hemifacial spasms. She performs various surgical procedures including but not limited to cataract surgery, adult strabismus surgery, temporal artery biopsy, blepharoplasty, and repairs for ectropion, entropion, and eyelid ptosis.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Powell-Brawner enjoys spending quality time with her husband playing board games and cherishing moments with her nine beloved cats
