Dr. Ashley Royce was raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. She attended the University of North Dakota and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2007 at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. While completing her doctorate, Dr. Royce volunteered for a free clinic in SW Washington and traveled to Ghana providing eye care to indigent people.
Dr. Royce went on to complete a post graduate hospital-based residency in Geriatric Optometry and Primary Care at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon. Upon completion of her residency, she practiced in Eugene, Oregon for six years. She was actively involved within her national, state, and local Optometric Association and volunteered as an adjunct professor for Pacific University College of Optometry. She was named in Eugene Magazine’s “2013 Top Doctors” by her peers.
Dr. Royce is board certified by the Florida Board of Optometry and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry in the treatment of eye disease. She joined Premier Eye Clinic in 2014 and specializes in comprehensive eye care, post-operative surgical care, dry eye treatment, and therapeutic and traditional contact lens fittings. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Volusia Optometric Society. She and her husband have two young boys. They are actively involved in their church, enjoy traveling, and discovering the excitement of Florida living.
